Budget to Focus on Housing Stock

Columbus Mayor Andrew J. Ginther talked Wednesday about turning the city’s land bank into a land trust designed to preserve affordable housing in what is becoming an increasingly expensive market that’s out of reach for many people.

As he unveiled his proposed $912 million general fund budget for 2019, Ginther said he has charged Development Director Steve Schoeny to come up with a plan to address affordable housing needs over the next 10 years.
