BIA Board Member Appointed to State Committee
Jeff Woda, a member of the BIA Board of Trustees and Principal with the Woda-Cooper Companies, has been appointed by Governor Mike DeWine to serve on the newly established Federally Subsidized Housing Study Committee Track.
The committee was established following an effort to insert a provision in the state's budget that would have required residential rental property to be valued as market-rate, without acknowledgment of targeted rent restrictions, subsidies, and similar provisions.
The committee has a July 1st goal of making policy recommendations to the Ohio General Assembly.
BIA Executive Director Jon Melchi stated, "We are fortunate to have amongst our membership and leadership, someone like Jeff Woda, who will continue to make a meaningful contribution to our state through his knowledge and commitment to housing affordability."
