Why Builders and Associates Should Get Involved

We’ve heard it from our members: the construction industry is facing a critical shortage of skilled workers. By participating in Build My Future, builders and associates can play a pivotal role in addressing this workforce development issue and shaping the future of our industry.

“It’s as if there are many stars in the sky, and none of them connect, we want them to all connect and form a constellation. By introducing schools and students to our industry professionals, we can make those connections!” Ann Misiolek, Workforce Development Advisor for the Construction Industry, Workforce Development Co-Chair for the BIA/NARI.

Here’s why your involvement matters:

  • Inspire the Next Generation: Introduce high school students to the exciting and rewarding world of construction careers, fostering a passion for building and creating.
  • Showcase Your Expertise: Highlight your company’s unique offerings and attract talented young professionals who are eager to learn and grow.
  • Support Industry Growth: Invest in the future of the construction industry by cultivating a skilled workforce that can meet the demands of tomorrow.
  • Give Back to Your Community: Contribute to your local community by providing students with valuable career opportunities and mentorship.
